Broadcast LED Wall — Studio & Live Production

Broadcast LED walls must satisfy two simultaneous audiences: the camera and the in-studio crew. Aurora’s broadcast-specification LED range addresses both with high refresh rates that eliminate scan-line banding at 4K+ frame rates, calibrated colour temperature (D65/6500K as standard, adjustable per shoot) that holds accurate skin tones and brand colours on camera, and matte surface coatings that kill light-source reflections visible to the broadcast engineer but not the camera.

Camera moiré — the interference pattern that appears when camera sensor pixel grids interact with LED pitches — is managed at specification stage by matching pixel pitch to the primary camera resolution and expected focal length. Aurora’s broadcast team specifies pitch, refresh rate, and bit depth as a matched set for the camera systems in each studio. Common broadcast pitches are P1.5–P2.5 for close-camera backgrounds at under 5 m and P2.5–P4 for large virtual production volumes viewed at longer focal lengths.
