Transforming the school gymnasium
JAK Audio Visual — an Aurora Accredited integration partner — was engaged by Ramlegh Park Primary School to transform their gymnasium into a modern, multi-purpose presentation space. The brief called for an impressive visual solution with exceptional image quality, and the flexibility to support assemblies, performances, sporting events, community functions and school celebrations in either landscape or portrait orientation.
The visual solution
JAK AV centred the installation around three Aurora VSPEC LED Video Walls — all fitted with Aurora’s AOB (Anti-Object Barrier) impact protection shield, making them ideal for a gymnasium where stray balls are an everyday hazard.

The Crestron TSW-770 gives teachers single-touch control over orientation selection, source switching and video routing — the system automatically reconfigures for landscape or portrait with no specialist knowledge required.

Bluetooth via the Denon Pro receiver allows instant mobile device connection. LEA Professional’s network-amplifier platform means audio zones can be remotely monitored and adjusted — without physically accessing the rack.
Designed for flexibility
The installation operates in either landscape or portrait orientation. Via the Crestron TSW-770, staff switch between room configurations with a single press — the system automatically adjusts both video routing and audio distribution for the selected layout. Two 160” walls and a 180” wall provide multiple presentation options while maintaining a consistent visual experience across every event type.
AOB impact protection
The Aurora AOB (Anti-Object Barrier) Impact Shield is specified on all three video walls — a direct response to the realities of an active gymnasium. The shield is engineered to deflect sports balls and accidental impacts that would otherwise cause costly LED module damage, protecting the school’s investment across the full expected lifespan of the installation.
